is the whole thing under sq root or just the numerator ?

x belong to (1,∞) as x√x-1 is always positive

Only the numerator is under sq root..

@mani pal does 2 belong to the range.if u equate the expression to 2 x comes to be -1 which is not in domain

well, the domain of (x) is R- (0,1,-1) .......
@jagaran.....mani has mentioned the domain of the function, not its range,,,check carefully !
