My friend gave this question yesterday....

x2=x+x+x+.... n times....
take derivative of both side...
2x=1+1+1+... x times
thus, 2x=x!
u probably meant... x2=x+x+x+.... "x" times....
given this, pls note that this is not correct at the first place...
so the basic premise of this question does not hold...
The above statement is not true when x=1.1.. i mean how can u add something 1.1 times? x has to be an integer. Thus, this function or relation as it is written above is valid only when x is integer...
so it is not a continuous function... hence not differentiable...
hence u cant differentiate :)
