One solution...at x = 0. Draw the graph, it's easy.

intervals are not given

the answer will be 2 simply by the graph.
if the ques would be sin (mod x)= mod x then the ans would be 1...

Hence , for all n ≥ 0 , there exists a solution . x = n Î

Hmm I didn't think of that...all I did was put x = 0 lol.

Isn't 2pi a solution? Even pi is..

In addition to what gallardo said,
for x < 0 , x - |x| adds(negatively) up so there wouldn't be any solution.

Very nice ayush but you won't get graphing calculators in exams.

how????
the ques is (sin mod x)= x mod x.....
not sin(mod x)=0....
just read the ques once again....

well u can easily draw these simple graphs by urself even in exams..

Ayush....it's x MINUS modx.
For x = npi,
sin(|npi|) = 0
npi - |npi| = 0
This is what the graphing calculator won't tell you.

sorry. i read it as x.modx .. sorry....
then it would have infinite solutions.....
