@shraman the derivation is wrong
first of all 1+x+x2 + .... = 1/1-x is valid only if lxl < 1 u have taken x=1 so not valid
secondly, ln(1-x) = -(x+x2/2 + ... ) and NOT x+x2/2 + ...
1+x + x^2 .......................infinity = 1/1-x ..........
integrate both sides ..
x + x^2/2 + ............ = ln(1-x) - ln(1)
put x = 1 .....
ln0 = 1+ 1/2 + 1/3 + 1/4 ....................
[3]
sorry i mistyped ln 0 as log 2 [in the topic thing whcih cant be edited]...................................... error ........
