Chem....
Look for steric factor
Look for conjugated structure
I AM STARTING THIS THREAD WHERE U CAN POST ALL THE SHORTCUT FORMULAS AND TRICKS IN EACH SUBJECT BE IT PHYSICS OR CHEMISTRY OR MATHS. JUST GIVE THE SUBJECT AND TOPIC HEADING TO UR REPLY AND POST THE SHORTCUTS.
Chem....
Look for steric factor
Look for conjugated structure
general tips
Start solving paper ur good at first
ill say maths as it picks up the momentum
from my personal experience
DONT ponder over toughies in first instance if u can identify they r toughies and arent able to solve within 2 min
For jee
rule 1 finish all easy and medium ones in 2hrs...... this shud include almost full chem and phy and atleast half of maths
rule 2 now go to toughies in maths and ull find automatically how ideas click from nowhere to you . then u shud have abt 20 min left for phy and chem
always don't try to eliminate the options . leave that as the last resort .
and in chemistry , see generally every problem can be solved by GOC
look for that first then if u don't get , then some named reactions might be useful
. else leave the problem .
in inorganic and physical . well it's memory and partly logic also . try to eliminate the most stable molecule whenever a reaction takes place . it works sometimes , but very rarely
if a question looks very very easy and you get the answer in a moment i.e 2 or 3 secs
then ponder for a moment checking whether you're making a conceptual mistake
again if you get same ans
then go for it
ok this one worked really well
when maximum or minimum of (=,-,x,/) is asked take all the quantities to be same and you"ll get an extremum value in most of the cases,i donno why but it works well
listen to ur heart .. u'll get an answer ... eliminate that option because ur heart is never correct ... then 3 options left .. ur brain will guide u to the correct option if god is with u ...
2 yrs kuch nahi kiye toh abhi kuch nahi ukhad sakte ho .. bas pachtao !!
DON'T TRUST UR WITS
USE UR BRAIN
JUST WRITE WHAT UR SAW,LISTENED,HEARED AND READ 4 THE PAST 2 YEARS
MERE LIYE SABSE IMPORTANT
TUKKEBAJI KAL KAM HI CHALLAON MAIN APNI KAL
this is not true re....
jee has become a bit easy ... a bit ...
so there may be easy qs ....
yup.........if a question appears tooo easy in JEE......then it involves sum stupid trick which we wud never get .........so better leave it.....
If u see the Question seems to be too easy...then better leave it!!
@Ram
if u don get even a single idea abt d question asked
Better not answer!!!
You dont want a negative[11]
if u don get even a single idea abt d question asked ,
jus tick d option which u think dat its wron ans fr dat question....
not kiddin.. it works in many cases....
you need an example for geometry?
http://targetiit.com/iit_jee_forum/posts/circles_4789.html
this should do it
First and foremost........
Analyse the given options......Do elimination....
some times we may get the answer without reading the question too....
especially in physics USE LOGIC.
actually ... there can be innumerous such tricks ....
100 questions can have 100 new tricks....
some very very common are :
>>dimensional analysis
>>putting value
others depend upon the question
in physics if something is asked abt like
wat will happen at time 't' ...
chcek for t=0 ... if u know wat is happening at t=0 ..
in chem DONT USE ANY TRICK :p :p :p [3]
In trigonometry...putting θ=0°,30°,60°,90°in many problems ..gives the ans...
geometry with complex.....
For these kind of questions.....use coordinate geometry...that is plot d points on d argand plane.....
Z0=(1,2)
then go on...
In coordinate geometry...often ploting points makes it easier than calculating with formulae
For maths....
GEOMETRY questions............the best thing is to DRAW THE FIGURE and get d desired results....
CONTD>
u need the force on the vertical section ABCD......
now see the first terms of each option....
u see that for d vertical thing ABCD.......∩r2 isnt needed....
and also d second term........ its basically hÏg*area
and area is d area of ABCD
if u combine all these things ull get d ans as B
which is correct
hehe
In the above question...
(a very difficult at the first look indeed)
see the options carefully...
u will realise that there is a || sign in all of them....
BUT look at the fourth option.....
ALL TERMS ARE POSITIVE......so y do we need a ||???
so eliminate it....
now look at d oder options......if u cant get a clue.....
then read the question...
