parametric method???
Today a teacher came in our class. He is a bit sycho... truly he is.....
He gave us a linear equation and told to solve it in 10 ways...
At first he gave us 2x + 4y = 8 and 4x + 8y = 19. So we said, sir this question will have no solution and can't be solved since a1/a2 = b1/b2 ≠c1/c2.
So he gave us this question...
2x + 3y = 8 and x + y = 7...
I could solve it only in five ways....
1. Elemination
2. Substitution
3. Comparison
4. Cross multiplication
5. Graphical
Is there any more method for solving these equations?....

Tell me bout this method....
Solve the above two eqns using this method.........................................................
By the way I think if we change the plane into a complex one another method od finding the solution may be obtained.
but @rahulmishra i would be quite grateful if you ask that teacher the other methods n post them n also ask why he is doing so many methods for a sitter questions like this.
I've already added that he is a complete sycho....
Dunno what's the problem with him.....?????
One day, when the period was over then he left for some other class and so i said "Thank you sir!" as everyone does.. But on hearing this.. he turned back like a superstar... came to me and told me that "what did you say?" and i was like "Sir, told you Thank you!". He added "Why?" so i said "Since the period was over and you left for the other class".. So he said "Comeon write the chemical equation for corrosion right now"....
He asks us some uncommon questions...........
Actually he wants other to take him as a very smart and intelligent teacher.......but in his dreams..........
for this question he said there are at least 20 methods...... lolz..
and i just can't dare to ask him the solution....
as who knows, he'll start asking me questions from Biology.....and im poor in these subjects...
one very important method you all missed out is Determinants and matrices
I dont now if your sir thinks that eliminating x first and in another case eliminating y are 2 seperate methods ;)
Most often teachers do like that in order to confuse students (or mostly to show off)
