u r right
ur friend gets f(x/3 +1) graph
my sir asked me to draw the graph of f((x+1)/3).
I used this approach:
f(x)→ f(x/3)→f((x+1)/3)
a friend of mine used this
f(x)→f(x+1) and then he changed the variable to x/3 with believe that this gives graph of f((x+1)/3)...but i have a feel that this would give f(x/3 +1) graph and not the required one.
which of the above approaches is right?
