Oh thanks a lot! I found my mistake..what about the second question?
1.The area of the region between x-y+2=0 and curve x=√y , y axis is
2.The area inside the parabola 5x2-y=0 but outside the parabola 2x2-y+9=0
What I did for both the sums was first get a quadratic eq. and solve it to get the values of x and then i use those as the limits and after a rough sketch of the graph i integrate and solve but i always get the wrong answer :(..

Find the points where both these are equal...
ie x-x^2+2=0
ie x=2, x=-1
but x is +ve so we ignore x=-1
so we have to integrate (x+2-x2) between 0 and 2
which gives x2/2+2x-x3/3 = 6-8/3 = 10/3
