cos(tan x + cot x)cos(tan x - cot x) = 1/2{cos (2tan x) + cos (2 cot x)}

Now solve it?

Period = LCM of pi & pi i.e. π/2

Sorry what I typed first was wrong This is my final ans

even i first thought that is the ans but that is not.

how com pi/2 if -pi/2 satisfies ? u cn check it out too.

cos ( cot ( x - pi/2 ) + tan ( x - pi/2 ) ) cos ( tan ( x - pi/2 ) - cot ( x - pi/2 ) )
= cos ( -tanx - cotx ) cos ( -cotx + tanx )
=cos(tan x + cot x)cos(tan x - cot x)

UTTARA ·

cos (cot (x+pi/2) + tan(x+pi/2) ) cos ( tan(x+pi/2) - cot(x+pi/2) )

= cos ( - cot x - tanx ) cos ( cot x - tanx )

= cos (cotx + tanx) cos(tanx - cotx)

Period of a function is the smallest +ve real no.

Hence the ans is pi/2

uttara, i too know, pi/2 satisfies , but what if -pi/2 too satisfies !

Period of a function is smallest + ve real no.

Hence ans is pi/2

F(x+T)=F(x)

substitute x=x-T

u will get F(x)=F(x-T)
