the expression can be written as
y=ax/(x-a) .. for x≠a
or
y= a(1+a/(x-a))
I don't know if you know these tricks of drawing a graph... like for the above expression ..
a. start with a graph of 1/x
b. move the graph to the right by 'a' units ..which will give us the graph of 1/(x-a)
c. scale this graph by 'a' times.. it can be done by locating some points where the graph will pass through)... which gives us a graph of a/(x-a)
d. move the graph up by '1' unit... so we get graph of (1+a/(x-a))
e. finally scale this graph by 'a' units again... which will give us the final graph...
f. now check the graph at some random points to see if the values are same from the expression and the graph... if not modify it accordingly..
