Apply L Hosp Rule and differentiate. The function is continuous when f(0)=lim (x-0)f(x). After applying l' hosps rule once simply substitute 0 for x to get 1/3.

ya.. applying L-H rule is the best idea for find the limit at x -> 0 which is the required value of f(0)
as by def. of limit,
lt h->0 , f(x-h) = f(x+h) = f(0) :)
