let x = y = 6, then max value should be 36...max value cant be 26...no way...

IF WE TAKE X=6 AND Y=6 THEN XY=36....HOW CAN IT BE 26 ?

a+b=12
lets take a=11 and b=1.then,ab=11
if a=10 & b=2,then ab=20
a=9 & b=3,then ab=27
a=8 & b=4,then ab=32
a=7 and b=5,then ab=35
only when a=6=b,we can get the maximum value of ab i.e.6*6=36.
