2day...i saw that there was a cloudy background behind the moon and the moon was almost round...the peculiar thing was that.....there was a red coloured ring around the moon..which gradually faded as the distance increased from the moon..actually that wasn't total red rather it seemed that all the rainbow colors have merged together with red as the most dominant color....SO WHAT WAS IT....???

How did you increase the distance? If you just move from one place to another, the increase in distance would be negligible compared to the distance between the earth and the moon.

oh..i actually meant that the ring around the moon gradually faded...i can explain it u as...let the moon be the nucleus of an atom, and let the K shell be red in color....after that...L shell had a little faded color...then the M..a still fader color...and so on....so by distance increased i meant that....
