thus slope of its perpendicular = -1...and this perp passes though (2,-5)
...eqn of perp is y+5=-1(x-2)
....solving it with x=y+1 ...we get (x,y) =(-1,-2)
find the co-ordinates of the foot of the perpendicular drawn from the point (2,-5) on the straight line x=y+1 ?
