this is to be done by geometry.
Otherwise it becomes very difficult.
The answer is that the line for which the segemtn joining (1,2) and (3,1) is perpendicular to the line passing through (1,2)
the slope of line joingin (1,2) and (3,1) is -1/2
so the slope of the line we need is 2
so the line is 2(x-1)=(y-2)
