d given line always passes thru' (4,-2)
or it represents a family of concurrent lines,
hence A)
cheers!!
If the quadratic eqn ax2+bx+c=0
has -2 as one of its roots then ax + by +c =0
represents
a. A family of concurrent lines
b.A family of parallel lines
c.A single line
d. A lineperpendicular to x-axis
I thought to be B
But the answer is A

pata nahi yaar...mite b one of dos super silly mistakes..
from the first info,
we have
4a-2b+c=0
now we see dat for all values, we have ax+by+c=0 passing thru' (4,-2)
so i thot it shud have been A)

Silliest mistake !!I agree....
I misunderstood a and b as x and y in second eqn...And thot that they represent parallel lines[4]
