Can someone tell me, how is the equation of a plane passing through the line of intersection of two planes u = 0 and v = 0 given by,
u + ∂v = 0 where, '∂' is a scalar quantity??

661It is analogous to equation of family of straight lines passing through the point of intersection of two lines.
Here instead of point of intersection it is line of intersection and instead of two lines it is two planes which intersect.
