a ray of light is coming along the line y = b from the positive direction of the x-axis and strikes a concave mirror , whose intersection with the xy-plane is a parabola y² = 4ax . find the equation of the reflected ray and show that it passes through the focus of the parabola. both a and b are positive.

The light ray meet parabola at a point (b²4a,b)
Now find out the slop of the tangent through the point.
using it find out the slop of reflected ray [M= -4ab4a²-b²]

the equation of the reflected ray (y-b)(4a²-b²)= -b(4ax-b²)
which exactly passes through the focus (a,0)
