yes it is point A itself
A triangle ABC with vertices A(-1,0) B(-2, 3/4) C(-3, -7/6) has its orthocentre at H. Then the orthocentre of triangle BCH will be
A) (-3,-2)
B) (1,3)

Yes, thats what the answer is. I am missing some concept here. Please tell me.
first find orthocentre H it comes out to be as
H ( - 463256 , 2764 )
NOW FIND THE ORTHOCENTRE OF BCH
IT IS intersection of these lines
7x - 12 y + 7 = 0 ----1
and
3x + 4y + 3 = 0 ----2
solve these u get ( -1 , 0 )
FIRST FIND EQUATION OF ALTITUDES
U GET EQNS AS
48 x + 28 y + 75 = 0 ---1
8x - 6y + 17 = 0 ---2
solve these and find H
Yes...got it. Thanx a lot!
I was under the impression that this was to be done with some other concept
@D'artgnan
just see the figure , no need of equations
let H be orthocentre
BA is perpendicular to CH
and
CA is perpendicular to BH
hence orthocentre is A
XYZ ur method is a pure geometry
mine is analytical geometry( hence equations)
