1Please help me, BITSians...is doing MSc-BE dual really worth it since I may want to do an MBA later, and I am a dropper too, so the age will be a factor...
Hey guyz, plz plz help. I have already filled my preferences for courses at BITS. I gave topmost priority to BE’s at Goa, then followed by BE’s at Hyderabad, and finally the MSc’s at Pilani and Goa. My score is 290. But my main fear is that my score is only 2-3 marks below the cutoffs for E&I, Mech. @ Goa, which I really want and moreover, I put the MSC’s behind BE’s at Hyd, where I don’t want to go. I want to ask that is it worth changing the preferences now, considering the fact that I don’t want to study @ Hyd campus as well as having a doubt that MSc-BE duals are given less preference than any BE during placements. Is my doubt true? Plz help as it is the question of my higher education and career.

13Firstly, "MSc-BE duals are given less preference than any BE during placements" - Not At All (Ask ANY bitsian or prof.)
And haan, risky situation, cuz with 290, the probability of getting a BE @ Hyd (mainy civil,chem,mech) is gr8ter than the same at Goa....
And if the Goa cutoffs do not decrease and rather increase (we cannot speculate anything)...then i guess u'll be handed some BE at Hyd.
So, if u don't want to go to HYd. at any cost, think of keeping Goa duals up.
Btw, my score is 290 too ;)
