Q3) Aeronautical engineers are hired in India, but in fewer numbers. That is, if you are talking about core job. And yeah, apart from DRDO and HAL some private companies do hire them, but thats a minor proportion. Why? 'Coz there is hardly a need for them in India! Only the two above organisations need aeronautical engineers. Don't ask me about the civil aviation sector...its pathetic! (Or so have I heard). Job prospect outside India is excellent. And so is scope for higher studies.
Civil is any day much better than meta...
And in civil, its equal if you join a govt. or private organisation. Both has its pros and cons. Govt. jobs are riddled with bureaucracy, thekedaari, local political influence and all. Private organisation sucks your blood. Too hectic...too hectic to have time for yourself. Some how my dad prefers govt jobs.

Wrong by miles.. meta is a very good and broadly used department...

Dont think it is a myth.. But I personally think that civil is a better branch in 2nd league colleges..

Yes they do .. atleast in IITs
Q7 which branches definitely need us to get an MS/ME degree while staying in technical sector ??
Almost all.. (if you want to do good work)
Abt metallurgy, surprisingly enough, NIT DGP has almost 100% placements since 2008.
That should give you some basic idea. [55]
