Why does the charge on a parallel plate capacitor appear on the facing surfaces only?

cuz inside pot needs to be 0(for metal plates)

It is the property of the metal that inside it the electric filed is zero

This happens because the electrons are free to move in a metal and they realign to make electric field inside the metal as zero..
