The concept to solve the dielectric question is to effectively determine the type combination of capacitors(series or parallel) within 2 plates........Then consider infintesimal elements and write individual capacitance for that element and then integrate with proper limits.....[1]

because potential diff is not same.....[1]
had it be same then it would have been in parallel
