CAPACITORS--- plzzzzzz help!!!! anyone!!!!!!

problem no. of i e irodov -3.144

this problem is also in hc verma solved examples last question but the answer is different in hcv

in hcv it is solved by force method
i tried it by energy
using
energy of capacitor initially=energy of capacitors finally+gravitational PE

i hav taken grav PE to be (ρ(σQ)h)gh2
let h be the height of water
i am getting answer which is twice of irodov's one

am i missing something out

please help

Can you write down your solution? Because your Grav PE is correct and I don't see what you may have done wrong..

yes ,i have also got it twice the answer(but its incorrect)

,since its not given whether the capacitor is ISOLATED or CONNECTED to a battery(work done by the battery is taken into consideration in this case);;;
,you can write an expression for TOTAL ENERGY when Height of liquid is X,and since the TOTAL ENEGRY IS CONSTANT>>

differentiate wrt to x,

and you will get the answer,,

if not i will post the solution

first try yourself :)
