hi friends...i knw u ppl are busy....but sum1 pl explain da scenario wen charge conservation comes into picture....ie kinda ... weak in electrostat...pl explain using 1 example...the conservation of charges in shells and concentric spheres

See let us take a case

there are two concentric shells of charge Q1 and Q2 each

Now we conect the two with a conductor

net charge will remain constant!

So if x flows from one shell to another

then Q1-x on the inside and Q2+x on the outside...

This is one small example.

again take a series of capacitors

assume that there was no charge initially

the series is given by 3 capacitors which are connected as shown in the figure...

each of these is chargeless..

Now see that there is a seperate part of the whole system

so if charges on inside of each of these is Qa, Qb, Qc then we can say that

Qa+Qb+Qc=0
