common pls explain me wit a diagram.........
Simple HCV probs...........
1. A thin, metallic spherical shell contains a charge Q on it. A point charge q is placed at the centre of d shell and another charge q1 is placed outside it as shown in d fig. All d three charges are positive. The force on d charge at d centre is....
a) Towards left b) Towards right c)Upward d) Zero
The force on d central charge due to d shell is
a) Towards left b) Towards right c)Upward d) Zero

subash....plz tel y is V zero in d third one???
i thought because of d contact d charges wud be zero......+Q and -Q wud become zero....
but y is V zero plzzzzz explain naa
ya it is zero.................plzz explain................and d second one...(there are 2 parts)
Explanation for 3rd
the metallic plate connects the two plates of the capacitor
so they are at the same potential
hence potential difference V=0
AKAND........... MAKE IT CLEAR WHILE POSTIN WHETHER U R SAYIN IT FR D CORRECT QUESTION NO....
LAST POST "YA IT S ZERO" FR WHICH QUESTION???????
dude........see subhash's post..... he asked ..."Is it zero??" and i said "ya it is" thts all.....
for the first question
the external charge q1 cannot affect q because of electrostatic shielding
and field due to the hollow charged sphere inside the sphere is zero
so both the answers are zero (i think)
dude.......................
d first one......C1= +Q on one side -Q on d other side...
C2= +Q on one side -Q on d other side...
so vertical ke liye kya hoga??? socho....
IS IT ZERO IF D CHARGE IN CAPACITORS IS LIK DAT AS I VE SHOWN?????
ok next...........

Fig. shows a light ring with three rods each of mass m welded on its rims. The rods form an equilateral triangle. The rigid assembly is released on a rough inclined plane. the minimum value of the coeficient of static friction that allows pure rolling of d assembly is..
a) 2tanθ/3 b)tanθ/3 c) tanθ d) 3tanθ/5
ramku there is a wire in comon..........so same sign must be there........think of tht

If suddenly the gravitational force of attraction between Earth and a satellite revolving around it becomes zero, then the satellite will
(a) continue to move in its orbit with same velocity
(b) move tangentially to the originally orbit in the same velocity
(c) become stationary in its orbit
(d) move towards the earth.
dis question is frm aieee or viteee previous years q paper i remeber....
hehe...an aieee question....
even i thought d same answer ramku......but b is wrong...
(ACCORDING TO D FIITJEE KEY)
yup it is..................these solutions are wrong.......
thnx ramku anyways
