9 ohm..we can say from symmetry of the figure that the current does not divide at the junctions at the top and bottom..then it is easy to solve

middle part R(Eq): 36(12+12+12)
lower part R(Eq): 24(12+12)
total R(equivalent)= 1/24 + 1/36 + 1/24
= 9 ohm (Ans)
