1161@Sohini: If you dont know the concept of Maximum Power Transfer Theorem, then simply find the expression for power and apply Maxima-Minima. You will get this.

146This is simple maximum power transfer theorem which says if internal resistance is equal to load resistance then the power transformed will be max.so the answer will be R=0.5
