the charges on both 1μF capacitors will be same also the charges on both 3μF capacitors will also be same because if we attach the battery the opposite way ...i e exchange its terminals then too the charge has to be same ....you can also say that there is a symmetry out there(not sure about this one ) now we can apply loop laws we shall have V= Q1 + Q2/3 AND 15Q1= 7Q2AND so we have Q1=7V/12 and Q2= 5V/4 ( hope i am correct) Ceq=[ Q1+Q2]/V Giving us Ceq= 11/6μF
really sorry :(

I don't think i can make an equivalent circuit for this question ..i am not able to judge the points which are at the same potential ...even if we want to decide we'll have to go for charge distributions
i dont know anything called delta star conversion..my sir told it is out of syllabus
shriyas diag. is fine. just check whether the eqns r correct.
Dont wory abt eq circuits. u wont get them that easily (frg8 delta star too) .. Just apply KVL for capacitor loops
ya i knew dat method.. HCV solved ex its done like that..its a bit long for complicated citcuits..so i was thinking if there is a better way.
Yeah delta star is not in syllabus, You will study in higher classes
But if you know you can use it for objective questions
