so Potential difference across 2Î¼F = V_b - V_a = 2(0) + 12(4)2+4 = 8V (b at relatively higher potential than a)

hence V_b - V_a = 8V

p.d across 2 microfarad capacitor = 0

Net p.d = C₁V₁ + C₂V₂C₁ + C₂

therefore, P.D = 2x0 + 12x42+4 = 8V
