dude apply laws of symmetry ....
the figure shows an infinite arrangement of equilateral triangles........the resistances on each half of a side of a triangle goes on becoming (1/2) as the arrangement delves inside...........you have to find the equivalent resistance between B and C . (please answer quickly...)

let x be net res. betw B and C .......
then in the second traingle [inside ] net res. will be x/2 [putting all Rs as R/2] ....
so say midpoints of those 2 sides are E F
2/x + 1/2R = 1/R(betw EF)
1/[2R + R(betw EF)] + 1/2R = 1/x ...
solve for x .....[half asleep .. so read soln at ur own risk]
u r rite..........iitcomin....further WE GET SUCH TYPE OF QUADRATIC.. =3r2+4Rr-8R2
and a really horrible...ans...!!
one more method
if u take BA and AB nw lets take B as volt V
so d potential at d mid pints of AB and BC is same so bichemein d line joinin their mid points just remove it
so nw doin d same wid oder 3 u get
only d outside triangle ....
i dont' know the answer........i am just searching for correct methods.
