The question is a classic one .. with recurrence.. Has been solved with a very little modification...

see V = iR1+iR+iR1
where iR=V/n
so V=niR (which if we substitute back in the first equation, we get...)
so (n-1)R=2R1
now find R1 which should not be very difficult :)
