if the 2nd line is straight,then the particle is chargeless.
just as in gamma rays.

and 3rd is positive...
if 2nd is negative then it should be attracted towards 3rd na?

it first deflects towards -ve and then towards +ve

If the charge is moves upwards, it is -ve....
If it moves straight it is neutral..
