since messages are passed to and by the brain by electrical impulses through the nerves.
when an electric current is passed through a nerve the transferring of electrical impulses
( i.e, messages ) to and from the brain is hampered.
U for pain message is being conveyed to the brain that somethng is causing the pain but when nerves can't convey this message to the brain due to applying of an external electric current so brain doesn' recognise if somethng is paining u. So man becomes insensitive to pain.

Actually Manmay seems right....
Look at what Wiki has to say about electric chairs -
"Historically, once the person was attached to the chair, various cycles (differing in voltage and duration) of alternating current would be passed through the condemned's body, in order to fatally damage the internal organs (including the brain). The first jolt of electrical current was designed to cause immediate unconsciousness and brain death; the second one was designed to cause fatal damage to the vital organs. Death was frequently caused by electrical overstimulation of the heart."
So after the first jolt, if you become brain dead, you cannot sense pain. Only the first jolt caused the major pain it seems.

[c]..btw it depends on how strong is the current..if it is low intensity..then he laughs..if current is inc , he starts getting excited..if it is further increased , he will weep , and finally after a certain amount of current value he dies and so he becomes insensitive to pain ! [3]
