39@pandit : Very nice to see your confidence and enthusiasm, but you shouldn't predict your marks in such a fashion...incase you fail to achieve that much, people will hound you on how come you didn't get it.
i found chem easy...dunno about phy and maths..u guys comment..

1I agree with samagra.It would be quite better for me if the cut off is 190 as I am getting more than 215.

1heyy i know u since 2008 when u were just an aspirat for jee.........but u said u werent upto iit jee level in chem...........and as far as cutoffs are concerned......i dun think it would be 220......itz just the people saying wotever dey want.......see only 2% manage iit........so there wud b confusion regarding the overall cutoff until theresults are declared./.........

CHEM paper1 was tough
maths was very-very simple " iff you had answered JEE 20!0"
physics was good
11the best i liked was that the problems were tricky and conceptual...not lengthy and of olympaid levels (like last yr math)....really a good solvable paper indeed...although i could'nt solve much... :(
11Now that's something what I did not want to flare up....this is not a time for debates. That was entirely what I thought - and I expected nobody to agree....Swordfish to say the least, I'm self-satisfied after qualifying ISI - and there's no need for me to post something in response to JEE paper for being "self-satisfied" as you call it.

1@Soumik: Such kind of theories are usually proposed by students :-p (including me), but they are just for self satisfaction....nothing is correct.

I dont agree at all.
They have to put an exam to select the best lot of students. If they start thinking about all the eureka's of india , iits wont remain iits.
Yes today's paper was very easy .Didnt expect that.
Expecting a good result, but frankly speaking i would have liked a difficult paper.
1totally agreed with Soumik,I also said the same thing after last year's paper,that it would be real foolish to take a drop after giving this paper
I feel a some pain actually after seeing this that I am in a new IIT's after last years paper,but still I don regret it,coz I might not have learned to life this much in an old IIT,really got loads of chances here at IIT Hyderabad in every field
11Well - nice to be here posting something again abt JEE after sometime....
To say that this was an unexpected paper from the IIT's would be wrong, because I kind-of felt this before the exam itself. I know many of u guys here would not really agree to this (I don't expect that either :P) but after all the mayhem of 2010, the IIT's would resort to something to get their name and appeal back. In other words, last year a few droppers like eureka and other guys were a bit frustrated having to face a tougher paper after dropping a yr in 2009, so some students like them who perhaps could not give their 100% last yr would'nt hve really preferred to drop a yr for JEE - in fact I should rather say wouldn't have really dared to drop another yr in case they face another weird JEE paper in 2011. Instead they might have gone for other Eng. Colleges sacrificing their will to join an IIT.
IIT's woul've gone through this fact in teir numerous meetings they have - and thus a paper in 2011. I know it is good for all taking their JEE tis yr, but all those who could not really make it to the IIT's last yr and instead had to join other streams (not entirely due to their love for those streams) would really be pained to see this paper....Thanks to the Almighty I'm not 1 of them....

71Don't feel thus.. There is straightforward use of formulas frequently. Few problems (Phase Diagrams) in Physics were a bit conceptual. It is a good and scoring paper and cutoff should be atleast 200.

the good and bad thing is that it was not difficult...
The better thing from last year was the number of mistakes... and instruction and no ambiguity this time round...

11goiit guys are saying that JEE was straight formula based this yr - and that some students found it way easier than normal JEE stds....:-(
