1 - x + x2 - x3 ............ = 1/[1-x2] - x/[1-x^2] .........
x - x3 + x5 .......... = x-x3 /[1-x4] .................
INTEGRATE BOTH WRT X AND EQUATE

sin-1(x-x2/2+x3/3...)+cos-1(x2-x4/4+x6/6.....)=Ï€/2
sin-1A+cos-1B=Ï€/2
A=B
gives
(x-x2/2+x3/3...)=(x2-x4/4+x6/6...
ln(1+x)=x2/2 +(1/2)ln(1+x2)
(1+x)2/(1+x2)=ex2
This has many solutions but none from the options satisfy this
I think the question is taken from IIT 2001 paper and the question is
sin-1(x-x2/2+x3/4...)+cos-1(x2-x4/2+x6/4.....)=Ï€/2
which is easy to solve
