hi friends can u prove pythagoras thm by pure geometry ? if u already know the method its fine else try to prove .

it can be proved by the results of similarity in a right triangle by dropping an altitude from a vertex and writing the ratio of sides to be equal ............

The most wonderful proff is to inscirbe a square iinside another
take the length of the larger side be a + b
and the smaller be c
now area is sum of areae of the right angled triangles and the smaller square...
try using this hint or i will post the solution once i am back home :)

(a+b)2 = 1/2ab. 4 + c2
hence a2+b2=c2
