no rohan
if u r rotating axis of radius r u get a cylinder of radius r
now for axis OO' r=o
hence volume of cylinder is 0
u r going offtrack
there is quite an elegant explanation to this
if i remember correctly u made a similar mistake in one of the QODs were Nishant sir asked to find COM ( thats when Satan was created i think :) )

@celstine
only one sheet would satisfy
area shaded =1/2(total area)
(middle most)
den area of d sheets decreases(bcoz cylinder)

oye by thin sheets .. wat do u mean ? ..... it is not possible to construct a cone then .... take the quantity of pieces used be too large ....now the individual pieces at the circumference has the same thickness as that of those in the middle of cone .. now u can see this is not possible as u can never get two or more things having same dimensions occupying different volume at different places .. (here at the margin and the middle) ............ur PARADOX takes in a wrong assumption ................

infinitesemal means very small thickness

u came across this while solving which jee problem???

but celestine when you are rotating you are going through infinite angles thus 0*∞ can yield a definite value

no rohan thats not right
does OO' have a definite volume at all ??????
its 0 only
theres some other explanation

hey it is because OO' is repeated in calculating volukme that way !! i also wonder why no tries previously ..

no tries !!!!!!!!!!!!!
cmon guys quite simple only

bhaiya....actullay i mean we should consider every projection....holding it to 30°...60°....
90° was just an example....

@ deepansh i solved a problem wrongly bcos of a wrong assumption and so made it into a paradox
i dont know if such a paradox exists so named it after myself [3]

abhirup i dont think that is the right answer..
That will be a single state in infinitely many states.. so its contribution will be zero!
Think in terms of dv and dA

hold the paper by the side....now the projection covers the full length of the sheet....
