by any chance the answer there then is "2" ?

i mean as wat did they actually intend as the answer ?.... was it 2 ?

6 - 3√5 + 3 - √5 = (2 - √5)²

2 + √5 - ( - (2 - √5)) = 4

so ans will be 2
