Why does the skin of a person gets bluish during vasoconstriction?

it refers to the narrowing of blood vessels due to contraction of the muscular walls of the vessels. As a result,this restricts the flow of blood and this makes the skin to turn paler because less blood reaches the surface.

Restriction of blood flow to the skin means tissues take up more oxygen per unit volume of blood. So there is more deoxyhemoglobin which is purple in color. Hence the skin appears bluish.
