i still cant understand wat a directional character is! plz explain!
directional charcter means d direction in wich we hav eltron density
S is spherical so in dat eltron density is same in awl directions so
itz spherically symtrical
P u hav of 3 types
Px Py Pz
Px is dumble shape wid two lobes
n itz directed in x direction
similarly for Pz and Py
so here d elltron density is filled inside d lobes n is zero around d center

ok i understood now
plz answer this question:
When we talk about the wave nature of electrons ,we consider it as standing waves .
what are the two extreme points between which they travel?
for standing waves,
l = nλ/2
right??
i'm asking what this l for electrons!
and between what two extremes it lies?
m rtyin 2 upload d image bt i cnt
ya itz
circumfernce of orbit= n * lambda
so n is no of waves
like in 1s u hav 1 wave
so 1 crest and one trough
so itz like
make a circle n then make only 1 crest n one trough der
for radial part the ans is 0 and infinity
for angular part which is more imp there is not such points as it is circular or more specifically spherical
hope u got the point
