haan i am talking abt 1st dissociation only ...

The answer is correct..
the first dissociation constants are in that order.. but I am not absolutely sure why it happens..
I think it has to do with the resonance structures..
thoda ajeeb explaination
i think as acidity is directly proportional to stability of conjugate base
n as h3po2 conjugate do not have any chance to lose further h+ like phosphoric acid
thus cnjugate s stability is more so acidity is more
n d other acids r having more h+ to lose so anion stability less as reactivity more and thus less acidic
i dont know it s corrct or not.
aur haan...
thot much!!
and then concluded:
ans is wrong !
it has to be H3PO4.. strongest one..
even ma 1st ans was h3po4l but manipal said tht s wrong so i gave that ajeeb explaination after seeing ans
it is the H from -OH group dat leaves ...
in h3po4 there are three possibilities ..
in h3po3 n h3po2 ... there are 2 and 1..
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm/..........
i think i am utterly wrong!!
but i still dun know y???
mujhe toh yeh pata thaa... dat H comes from O-H ...
now ... its different...
chcek out this link:
very important i think ...

@NIS BHAIYA ......THE REFLECTION IS ALSO BENZENE..DONT U THINK SO....SO MUST B SUPRIMPOSABLE.....(ABT LAST PINK POST BY YOU IN THIS SECTION)
yes mkagenius..
that is exactly what I have written there! :O
That does not superimpose on the original one.. it is not symmetric!
"That does not superimpose on the original one.. it is not symmetric" THESE R UR WORDS BUT I THINK IT WILL SUPERIMPOSE SINCE IT IS ALSO OUR PYARA-2 BENZENE NA...
hmm.. i understand what you mean ...
i meant that they are not mirror images of each...
which is not mirror image?????????????
i think they r superimposable mirrror image.....
please clear...
yes manipal you are right..
dont worry about that question.. it is not in syllabus :)
yahan pe integration kyun ?? :O
well... chhor doh usko... syll me nahi hai :(
Q1 The strongest acid out of the list given below is(choose on the basis of first dissociation constant)
a) H3PO2
b) H3PO3
c) H3PO4
d) experimentally it has been found that first dissociation constants are equal of all three
@MANIPAL kya hamme har plane or axis jo symmtric hai use alag count karna hai
it will be much more..
see there will be a plane of symmetry through each opposite carbon atoms
so there will be 3 of those..
then 3 planes when you bisect between carbon atoms..
and one axis of symmetry at the center!
