The error is cannot exceed the L.C . See you to understand this you need an example .
Consider a Meter sclae
L.C = 0.1cm
Hence if the result is 2.7cm
You may read it as 2.8 or 2.6 . i.e the variance from the result will only be by ±1 L.C
but in my practical notes its gvn as half of LC as for LC .1 , measurment of 2.7 means 2.65 to 2.55 ie error of .05 up and down

AC' = emf and DB' = galvanometer. only then it forms a wheatstone bridge. and the unknown resistance must be connected b/w A & D itself.
