@Gallardo bhaiya thankx
(even i made the same mistake [3])
@eragon 24 : Ya I know I've used this many times but how 2 overcum this ??
I mean whenever i prt scr The img is always this size only ??
Can i incr its size ??
I agree that the figs r tooooooo tiny But plzz use ur magnifiers

@uttara u shud learn to use microsoft paint in a proper way [3]
i hav seen u saying this so many times -"But plzz use ur magnifiers" :P
sigma ( j = 0 to j = 29 ) z j
= sigma ( i = 0 to i = 24 ) z i + z 25 ( 1 + z + z 2 + z 3 + z 3 )
= 0 + z 25 [ 1 - z 51 - z ]
So 1 - z 5 = 0 , bcoz z = 1 or 0
hence , the eqn . z 5 = 1 has 5 roots , which includes the root z = 1 which should be omitted ,
Hence , the condition is satisfied by only 4 complex numbers .
sry i deleted the prev post in which i did a major blunder to include 1 as a root as well
Q5 will indeed be D). Here's how.
For option (A), the substrate can be taken as
CH3-CH(OH)-CH3.
All secondary alcohols give the haloform test. It is just the case where OH gets substituted by Cl. It is what would happen anyway in the beginning of the haloform test. And then the exhaustive halogenation takes place.
For option (B), the substrate can be taken as
CH3-CO-CH3.
If we halogenate it once, it becomes
CH3-CO-CH2I
Now it will further be halogenated and it will give the haloform test.
For option (C), the substrate can be taken as
CH3CH2OH.
Ethanol is the only primary alcohol which gives the haloform test. After halogen substitution it becomes ethyl chloride. This will further be halogenated and will give the haloform test.
And to doubts regarding the medium, the haloform reaction is always carried out in a basic medium.
No u r wrong
Anyways give explanation for 2nd one
It can also be a or d na ??
2) What is most _____ is the response of the people who are now _____ themselves to
bring to task errant drivers
(A) ridiculous , furious
(B) satisfying , asserting
(C) heartening ,obleging
(D) depressing , undetermining
They need not mention basic medium. Haloform reaction occurs in basic medium only.
Yes, in basic medium the halide group is substituted by the OH gropu. So it becomes an alcohol which has β-hydrogens. Thus it answers Iodoform test.
@Manmay : I told na ans is wierd
Ans is D
U r rite Sridhar but i want explanation
(D is true only in Basic med It is not given in the qs that it is basic medium)
(5) (b)
but (d)
if basic medium only but not mentioned in question
5) This is a "" silly "" qs but the ans is equally wierd thats y i am posting !!!
Which of the following give iodoform test
(A) CH3 - CHcl - CH3
(B) CH3 - CO - CH2I
(C) CH3 - CH2 - Br
(D) All Of These
The no of values of complex no. z satisfying both the eqns
sigma(i= 0 to 24) zi = 0
sigma(j=0 to 29) zj = 0
(A) 4
(B) 5
3) Further inorder to give ___ to his fraud , he used to ___ off telephon numbers of people
in high places.
(A) sympathy , fire
(B) credence , rattle
(C) credibility , shoot
(D) legitimacy , screen
