sixteen balls

sixteen balls of equal mass are strung like beads on a string, some are placed on a smooth inclined plane of inclinaton sin inverse (1/3) and the rest hang over the top of the plane. how the balls have been arranged if the accelaration at first be g/2 ?

(a) 6 hang vertcally

(b) 8 hang vertically

(c) 10 hang vertically

(d) 12 hang vertically

Hint: let the fraction of mass on the slope is f

Take 2 bodies.. one which is hanging the other which is on the table..

Now take T as the tension between them

Both have common acceleration...
