ya manas...............i am sorry but the answer is 9. will u please show ur method
i just want to show tht manas kaa method is wrong.........please dont post ur solution any1 else
n0→p++β-+antineutrino
so two neutrons of the parent nucleus will turn into protons after the emission.
as the daughter isotope has 7 neutrons....so the parent had 9.
ankit....ill tell u after wards...................let manas post his solution
but manas first told me tht 14N7 wud be 16N7 so 16-7 is 9......which i said was wrong............
this was our chat......
Akand S: tht is 7+2
m_manasmanohar: yah
m_manasmanohar: shut
m_manasmanohar: 14+2
Akand S: but Z remains same
Akand S: SHUT UP
Akand S: m_manasmanohar: u shut up
Akand S: 14N7
Akand S: gives
m_manasmanohar: A increases
Akand S: 14N9
m_manasmanohar: no 16N7
Akand S: no manas
Akand S: one neutron breaks into a proton an anitneutrino and a beta
It was my mistake............
I had read d question wrong
Akand S: i dint see IT GAVE 14N7
Akand S: i so i had taken and writtn 14N9 and got 5
m_manasmanohar: it doesnt matter how the mistake happens akand
m_manasmanohar: i am not proving that i am great
Akand S: but actually it was 14N5 which became 14N7
m_manasmanohar: ok?
m_manasmanohar: it is method to reproach ourselves
m_manasmanohar: ok
Akand S: tht doesnt mean u apply wrong concept
m_manasmanohar: that all nobody asks
Akand S: hehe
