@kalyan the easiest way to solve G.I.F graphs is lik this :

consider
0<=x<1
[x]=0
hence equation becomes
[y2]=0
→ 0<=y2<1
→ 0<=y<1 and 0<=y<-1
now ,

1<=x<2
[x]=1
hence equation becomes
[y2]=1
→ 1<=y2<2
→ 1<=y<√2 and -1<=y<-√2
.
.
.
.

GRAPH WULD BE LIKE THIS NA ??

Well Manmay bhai , can you tell me why it is discontinuos at integer points ? As both sides of the given relation is a box function , so I don't think that the function will be discontinuos at integer points . I may be wrong , plz reply .

when is [x] an integer

and in what range of y is [y^2]=that integer?

sry for weird looking graph did that in a hurry

WILL it be like this ?

i drew x = y2 which is a parabola then
[x] = y2
and finally drew
[x] = [y2] by graph transformation which wuld lead to graph of candles as in the diagram
