ok i understood any other trick or common mistakes pls tell me it will help me in 2010
tapan, i knew about the other part of the graph...........but as i said i couldn't find time or space to do it . . . .. . . . . pls forgive me
Virang : Always luk out for the un-obvious Cases wenever u r doin a sum by Cases countin method be it Probability, P n C or Grafs ........
especially luk out wat all TYPES integers form ur domain and have u considered all of 'em
Coz we always tend to think Positive integers...... bechare negatives ka kya dosh hai [3]
yeah.....john .........i couldn't find space or time to give the IIIrd quadrant ...... so pls adjust
just take mirror img about y-axis and then take mirror img about the x axis .....that'll give u the rest of the graph
IF anyone has the patience to post it, they can do so
John has hit the nail!!
Virang dont u think a product of two negative integers will yeild u 256 ??
i thought mine wud be the first post, but when i posted there were 7-8 posts
x < 257
y < 257
The possible are 9
1 * 256
2* 128
4 * 64
8* 32
16 * 16
32 * 8
64* 4
128 * 2
256 *1
Therefore the graph will be in the second post
Yes elessar you are rite. Even i have done the same thing before.
But lets see wat tapan has to say about it
256 = 28
Therefore the only integers are 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256
Rite there cannot be any other integer
HINT :
Think wat all type of integers can give u a product as 256
Virang : wat u hav considered that portion is crrct!! i got u wat u wud hav plotted if u actually did........
But U r missing out on a case Dear
1:1≤x<2 256≤y<257
2:2≤x<3 128≤y<127
3:4≤x<5 64≤y<65
4:8≤x<9 32≤y<33
5:16≤x<17 16≤y<17
6:32≤x<33 8≤y<9
7:64≤x<65 4≤y<5
8:128≤x<129 2≤y<3
9:256≤x<257 1≤y<2
Virang arent u missin out on sum cases??
Think!!
Hint in next post if u ask 4.....
