1) Buy at least such a number of books that even if you do not clear IIT you may be able to earn your livelihood by opening a library.

2) Spend 10-12 hours on self study. Out of which at least 7 hours should be kept reserved for internet based education.

3) Work only on your strong areas. Leave your weak subjects because you want to be an expert. Not jack of all, master of none.

4) Discipline is the key to failure in IIT-JEE. Prepare a sci-fi time table and allocate particular time interval for every task, ranging from sneezing to urination. Eliminate every action which does not help you to clear IIT like breathing, eating, bathing, etc.

After following all these success-mantras if you still accidentally make it to IIT, then choose only that branch which your neighborhood uncle took. Because it has been found that there is strong similarity of aptitude and attitude between a person and his neighborhood uncle due to ‘photosynthetic cosmological radiations’.
