in ans it is given...2 moles of peroxomonosulfuric acid
Hydrolysis of 1 mole of peroxodisulfuric acid gives ??
ans given is **2 moles of peroxomonosulfuric acid**
but shouldnt it be 2 moles sulfuric acid ????
peroxydisulphuric acid : H2S2O8..
Adding one water molecule to it we will get 1 mole sulfuric acid H2SO4 and 1 mole peroxomonosulfuric acid H2SO5..this can be checked by writing the equation of the procees happening..
H2S2O8 + H2O → H2SO4 + H2SO5 ...
